YENDRI - Inhaliere Meine Seele Und Stirb
Songs: 14  Time:  63:43

Yendri is one of the latest signings to [Trinity] Records. Alongside of such acts as L'ame Immortelle, Flesh Field, Die Form, and Dust of Basement, Yendri's dark electro compositions fit in nicely. The star track on this CD is Please Dear Machine, a wonderful dance track featuring exquisite electronics, a variety of peculiar vocal manipulations, and a stern beat. This track has already proved itself on the dance floors of central Florida. From here, the album goes off in several different directions. Inside the Machine also sports some unique vocal effects, laid upon a bed of subtly addicting, light electronics and a solid, danceable beat. Robot is a noisy track with a galloping beat, dark electronics, and vocals that sound both painful and forced. Stahlkatakomben is a mild, beatless instrumental that comes off as a soundtrack styled tune. Bodyless contains a trotting beat, natural vocals, and darker, synth-pop styled electronics. More darkwave in nature, The Truth Behind is driven by its echoing vocals, amble beat structure, and stabbing rhythm. This is Death is similar in nature, although the rhythm is not as prominent and the beats are a tad more varied. The hard beats and robotic electronics are the driving force behind Emptyness, a cold electro piece with gothic tendencies in the vocal delivery. The weakest piece on the CD, Dark Skies, is a simplistic electro piece that comes across as a more evil In Strict Confidence tune. No Human Contact is a short, noise-structured piece that shows a different side to Yendri's music, paralleling his style to many Ant-Zen bands. Kiss Your Eternity is a very gothic-orientated piece complete with light piano sounds, mild electro elements, and soothing vocals. Lastly, Iron Fist completes the album with a great techno beat structure, rambling rhythm, and robotic vocals. Added onto this CD are a pair of bonus tracks, Ich Habe Alles and Station Null. The later is a dark and foreboding electro piece, again with strange vocal effects, an astute dance beat, and spaced-out electronics. The former, Ich Habe Alles, with its computerized vocal parts, cybernized rhythm, and subtle beat is even darker and more evil. Yendri is one of those artists whom you can never place in a certain musical genre, as his style changes more times than a traffic light. Definitely not a CD for everyone, as it leans towards the darker side of things, but for those looking for something different, original, and a bit on the enigmatical side of things, give Yendri a good listen.
