WOLFSHEIM - Once in a Lifetime
Songs: 4  Time:  17:21

Once in a Lifetime is the first single to be released from Wolfsheim's latest full length, Spectators.  Containing 2 mixes of the title track as well as two other songs, Once in a Lifetime is your standard Wolfsheim CD single.  By standard I am referring to its contents and not the quality of music held within.  Not since Sparrows and the Nightingales have I been so drawn into a Wolfsheim track.  Once in a Lifetime is a wonderful synth-poppy piece complete with smooth vocals, thought-provoking lyrics, catchy synth elements, and a fantastic dance beat.  Both versions of the track are equally as addicting, with the Extended version having a few more breaks within it.  Heroin, She Said is a slower piece that is more laid back, even though it contains a few guitar elements.  Finally, Love is Strange is even more relaxed and smooth, rounding out the single with a piece that is the perfect nighttime, falling asleep in bed track.  Wolfsheim is one of those bands who I only recently discovered and now it seems that I cannot acquire enough of their material.  Once in a Lifetime only begins to scratch the surface of what this ultra-talented duo is capable of.  Buy this (and everything else by Wolfsheim) immediately!
