Weird Uncle Betty in 4 words…….Groove driven sex music…. Weird Uncle Betty is the brainchild of J.J.M. who has mastered the art of rhythm and has combined it with loads of samples. Now by samples, I don't just mean your typical pornographic grunts and moans, but much more abstract, implied vocal snippets as well as the occasional stolen beat or sequence. Plugging them altogether, Weird Uncle Betty has come up with a formula that works! In Porn We Trust begins with a short intro track, Sexorama, that sets the musical and sexual pace for what is to follow. Lolita is a funky little piece that rolls along at breakneck speed, inviting all perv, freaks, and technoheads to the dancefloor. Wet'n Shiny combines the rhythm of a breakbeat song along with the guitar sounds of a grunge band. It's fairly easy to see why another reviewer thought that Weird Uncle Betty's music would make a great backing soundtrack to a Playstation driving game. If it weren't for the sexually implied samples in The Intruder, this track could easily be a contender for the next Need For Speed game. A thumping, hip-hop beat and wet sequences are tossed together on this addictive piece. Equally as enticing is Susan's Party Dress. Take the format for the previous track, add in a smidgen of guitar sounds, and *bang* instant excitement. Rubbergirls is a slower track, propelled along by its subtle synth sounds and lethargic beat. A distorted beat makes Sticky Fingers stand out among the rest as one of the most unique among the unique. The finale comes with The Gee-Thanx Theme, a slightly breakbeaty piece with a thick, throbbing rhythm that looped vocal sample. While not following the same musical path tread my Thrill Kill Kult, Weird Uncle Betty seems to have a similar feel to their style; sexually driven tech-electro for the future and beyond.
