MOEV
- Suffer
Songs: 5 Time: 29:55
A blast from the past. Moev returns
after quite some hiatus. First off, don't expect the retro synth-poppy sounds
of Moev of the past. There are a few changes in their sound, the foremost being
the addition of a female fronting the band. Secondly, their music has
progressed and morphed into a more tech-electro sound that is more upbeat and
denser than their previous style. Suffer is presented in two forms, the
first being the original and the second being the extended, Mindfuck mix.
Suffer has a dash of everything in it, Swamp Terrorists style
break-beats, breathy female vocals, and interesting bridges. Complications
has more of a standard beat with shared male/female vocals and bleepy
synths. This is a more accessible dance styled track. With Crossfire
Moev experiment with mixing together Euro fashioned noise with twisted vocals
and punkish sequences. While this isn't the best track on this EP, it sure
stands out as the most different. Lastly, Saviour comes across as a more
coldwave structured piece, complete with guitars and repetitive synth lines.
The Suffer EP is a radically different style for Moev and does
prove that things do change with time.
