Mesh returned late in 1998 with this new single, People Like Me (With This Gun.)  This song follows the staple Mesh sound of fusing together elements of synth-pop, modern alternative rock, and electro.  One thing about Mesh songs is the familiarity of the vocals and this track is no different.  Both mixes of People Like Me are addictive, pop-structured dance pieces with quirky synths, pounding beats, and catchy vocals.  One unique surprise is the Buskers Mix of Trust You, which is an acoustic version of this classic Mesh track.  Although there are no real surprises to be found on this CD-5, Mesh fans should love it just the same.  It does serve its purpose as a teaser for their new album.
