LUXT - Razing Eden
Songs: 16  Time:  73:46
Razing Eden is Luxt's second release since signing to 21st Circuitry Records.  Not much has changed since Disrepair, their label debut.  Luxt make use of male and female vocals.  Live and electronic percussion, buzz saw guitar (although less prominent here), and dark electronics are still the formula.  Luxt have improved however, in both the production and song writing departments.  Razing Eden is full of hooks that will easily gain this band some great radio and club time.  The album also sounds much more crisp than their previous releases.  Added bonuses on this record are a remix from Acumen Nation and a cover of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir which is just as fun as their rendition of Gary Numan's Cars (featured on 21st Circuitry's Newer Wave compilation).  Razing Eden will appeal to fans of the U.S. Coldwave style exhibited by bands such as Hate Dept. and 16 Volt, as well as Acumen Nation and Chemlab.
