KIETHEVEZ - Can't See This

KieTheVez are back with a brand new single from their latest album, Opium.  Can’t See This isn’t your typical CD single, as it contains 6 mixes of the title track as well as three bonus tracks.  Can’t See This is a mellow, vocal driven track with a galloping beat, vibrant sequences, and a palpating rhythm.   This is the more radio friendly version, and it actually is getting some airplay on a local alternative radio show here in Orlando. The Transparent version pushes the beats up towards the front and strips away some of the sequences.  On the Seable Mix there are a few more, harder edged, deeper sounding sequences and the overall sound resonates as if it were recorded in a tunnel.  Forbidden Colours’ Getting Closer mix twists some of the synth lines, adds a few wet, 303 sounding sequences, and places the main emphasis back onto the vocals.  The Memory Garden take this piece, add a bleepy sequence progression, and transform the beat into a slower paced, hip-hop influenced one.  On of the other tracks, the instrumental Off The Wall, was remixed by Echoing Green, who seem to dabble with wet, 303 styled sequences on this version.  The final track, År Som Blad, is a light piece with minimal piano progressions and a subtle beat laid underneath the strong, synth-pop vocals.  Considering this disc clocks in at nearly 45 minutes, and also that there are plenty of extra tracks to go along with the diverse mixes, admirers of the synth-pop genre should enjoy it.
