INFRASTRUCTURE - The Wasteland (demo)
Songs: 5  Time:  23:53

Stacia Tucker's solo project Infrastructure first made an appearance on the scene in late 1998.  Now, less than one-year later, Ms. Tucker returns with a new 5 track EP that continues along the same path that she has forged with her initial demo.  Not striving to be a hard-hitting electro project, Infrastructure exudes both sensuality and angst and places it against a backdrop of twisted synth patterns and warped beats.  Vultures is a fine example of all of the aforementioned aspects.  Stacia's breathy vocals are placed atop mid-paced, distorted, techno-like beats and spacey synth sounds.  Much like the Haujobb of late, Infrastructure's compositions reach a plateau of complexity by minimizing the variety of sounds within each piece.  C.E.O. combines a flat pounding beat with warped vocals and several well implemented breaks.  Dark, Terminal Choice like synth patterns are joined by intelligent beats on Remain Unaltered, a mystic piece that shows Stacia's preference for non-traditional industrial.  While The Wasteland does follow a similar pattern as her previous demo, it does seem a bit more polished in both sound and quality.
