IMBUE - Resurrected
Songs: 11  Time:  48:24
Imbue consists of Ric Nigel (ex-UTN), Jesy Walters, and Tim Phillips.  On their Debut CD, Resurrected, this trio creates imaginative and creative electronic pieces with styles that range from obliterating electro anthems to more laid-back / lush compositions.  One such, less aggressive piece, is the album opener, Glitter.  The root of Glitter’s sound is based upon it’s tribal rhythm, deep, ethereal guitar chords, and Ric’s raw vocals.  On the other end of the spectrum we find Rattler, a faster piece with changeable beats, harder guitar work, and a driving rhythm.  With yet another style, Imbue deliver trip-hop beats against synth-pop styled vocals on Something Real.  With as laid back hip-hop beat and swirling sequences, Tronic is a nice instrumental with a dreamy feel to it.  Insect finds Imbue driving their music with dark / wet sequences, gruff vocals, and a violent, backing beat.  The closing piece, Toil and Charm, trots along with a mellow beat, hard and slow guitar work, and vocals that are pushed to the rear.  Resurrected shows that Ric can still produce quality music sans G. Hagegeorge.
