FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY - Columbian Necktie
Songs: 4  Time:  27:27
The much-anticipated Front Line Assembly material is finally here, and I’m pretty sure everyone in the electronic globe has already gotten his or her copy.  There could have been no better track to release as a 1st single; Colombian Necktie gives an excellent representation of what to expect.  They provide us with the Tongue Fed Edit, not too far different from the album version, but who cares since it’s an incredible song – as perfect as electro-industrial could ever get.  Something that is very noticeable with the last couple of FLA singles is that they have made them more interesting and valuable by creating a different side of the main title, like the GOArge mix by Tim Schuldt, as well as exclusive tracks, such as Deadlock and Electrocution.  Electrocution being one that does not need any mentioning, since it has already made people drool while listening to it on the Tyranny Of The Beat Vol. IV compilation.  Deadlock, an instrumental that has the same ‘out of this world’ listening experience to it as Electrocution, boasts an amazing rhythm feel to it in beats…very danceable.  As always the electronic sound FX and samples seem to always be the best.  I think Colombian Necktie has cured a lot of people’s worries of the FLA sound since Rhys Fulber is no longer present.  In my opinion, this definitely shows just how talented and valuable Bill Leeb is to the electronic scene, showing that he still has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.  I think he and Chris Peterson have done an amazing job.  Listening to such art makes time stand still.
