Strange Affection Remixes

This, the companion disc to the Strange
Affection single, contains 2 alternate mixes of the title track as well
as a live piece (We Might Be One For a Day.) The No Sleep 'Til
Heusele Mix contains an opening sample that makes it seem as if this version
will be darker than the original. Actually, this version is quite different,
but not in an 'evil' sense. On this mix, Georg Kaleve reworks the beat
programming and creates a more break-beat version of Strange Affection.
Along with the revamped beat, this mix is also comprised of looped vocals and
distant sequences. All in all this mix is more techno and rhythmic in nature.
With its lighter keys and more prominent vocals, the Mesh remix
is much more subtle in nature. Considering that both Mesh and
De/Vision are similar, this mix is not as varied as one might imagine.
Lastly, the liver track is a much slower, more ballad-like piece that contains
faint synth work, leisurely beats, solid vocals, and ample crowd noise. This
single is worth the price, especially for those who are avid fans of De/Vision's
sound. Even if you're not a die-hard fanatic, or if you're not at all familiar
with De/Vision's sound, this might me a nice place to start.
