DAS ICH - Kindgott

The first single to be released from Das Ich's excellent Egodram CD, Kindgott features three entirely different mixes of the title track, as well as a new mix of their classic Gott Ist Tot.  Where as the original version of Kindgott is straightforward dance piece; the Childhood mix is slower paced and less dense.  The Extended Version not only stretches the original out over a period of 5 minutes, but there are also a few new sounds added in, giving this track a live of it's own.  Das Ich have always amazed me with their approach to electronically based music. In the past they've wavered between more lyrically structured pieces to smart instrumentals to hard, edgy dance music.  Kindgott falls into the later category, as it seems to have built for the dance floor.  The Nietzsche Mix of Gott Ist Tot is comprised of rolling beats, rough and distorted rhythms, and Stefan's unique and crisp vocals.  This, along with the full length, might be a good place to start if you have yet to experience the wonders of Das Ich.
