New Jersey trio, Crash A/D, arrive on
the scene with their debut, Thermal System. Ten flawlessly
executed dance floor tracks in the direction of Nitzer Ebb, and early
Zero Defects. Thermal System is largely driven by Ken Pecoraro's intense,
organic percussion and has no shortage of fast, danceable bass sequences. The
synths, handled by programmer Eric Monse, are subtle but catchy, and accent each
song's individual mood. Tom Cahill finishes the product with his fierce,
untreated vocals. Although, he does show occasionally off his smooth singing
voice. Each aspect of the band's music blend together resulting in an
aggressive, well-produced dance floor powerhouse that is sure to please fans of
the early U.S. Industrial scene as well as new fans of electro. Thermal System
has so many great tracks that listing a few wouldn't do the rest justice. Crash
A/D have delivered one this year's best debut albums, be sure to pick it up.
