COVENANT - Euro EP

While I really did not enjoy Covenant's last full length, Europa, I found that this EP was much better simply due to the fact that they mixed up the tracks and made them more diverse and interesting.  The track Go Film (Hard Version) revolves around strict, hard beats, light vocals, and distant, airy sequences.  On the Soft Version of the same track, more synth elements are injected into the mix and the beats are toned down.  Of these two versions, this one is far more danceable. Consumer is a previously unreleased piece that is quite simplistic in nature.  The driving force of this piece seems to be the vocals, while the hollow beats and squeaky synths are utilized as at atmospheric backdrop.  The sole purpose to pick up this MCD is for the Club Version of Tension.  This is an excellent dance track with catchy vocals, steady beats, and highly addictive sequences.  The remaining three pieces, two more mixes of Tension and one more mix of Go Film, are quite diverse and they round out the MCD nicely.  If you haven't had the opportunity to pick up Covenant's last full length you may want to skip it entirely and just get this EP instead.
