CARBON HAZE - Full Code
Songs: 8  Time:  45:25

Carbon Haze is a newer independent band that hit the scene earlier this year with their debut CD entitled Full Code.  Full Code is eight tracks of hard electronic dance music that will get your ass moving at incredible speeds.  Slave is the first track and with just one listen you're guaranteed to be hooked.  The vocals are distinct and the music is a full-on assault of pounding rhythms, squelching sequences, and numerous changes.  The following piece, Hydraulic, is equally as strong and will begin to show you that these guys really know what they are doing.  Although I hate comparisons, this piece sounds very similar to the recent release by Front Line Assembly, sans the techno elements.  Jason's vocals are delivered naturally, yet they still contain that bit of range and anger that define the majority of industrial bands.  On She Can't Sleep, Carbon Haze add a minimal amount of distortion to the vocals and take the music down a notch to a slower, more melodic level that gives the listener a bit of a break.  I Believe kicks things back up a bit with a slight coldwave sound, but without the staple guitars.  America is a dense and complex piece that begins with a sample-ridden, experimental style intro, but reduces itself to a lighter piece with intense vocals and watery sequences.  Slowing things down again, Awakening is a stupendous track with a very mellow undertone that shows that Carbon Haze aren't all aggression and anger.  The final track, Undone, caps Full Code off with strict rhythm elements, vigorous sequences, and vocals that are both angst-ridden and catchy at the same time.  I seriously doubt that this trio will have any problems getting signed before they jettison yet another musical missile into the electro community.
